1-9-26   THOUGHTS

Our reading this morning is simple and powerful!  God is on our side!  Our youngest daughter painted a beautiful plaque containing the words of Ps 125:2a for us.  It hangs proudly as a memorial to all that’s good in our lives.  2Tim 1:12b-14   “ but I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until that day. 13  Retain the standard of sound words which you have heard from me, in the faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. 14  Guard, through the Holy Spirit who dwells in us, the treasure which has been entrusted to you.”   Ps 56:9b “This I know, that God is for me.”   AMEN CHURCH...   (The Israel of God)!

Ps 125:1-5  Those who trust in the LORD Are as Mount Zion, which cannot be moved but abides forever.  2  As the mountains surround Jerusalem, So the LORD surrounds His people From this time forth and forever.  3  For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest upon the land of the righteous, So that the righteous will not put forth their hands to do wrong. 4  Do good, O LORD, to those who are good And to those who are upright in their hearts. 5  But as for those who turn aside to their crooked ways, The LORD will lead them away with the doers of iniquity. Peace be upon Israel.

Our Prayer:
We praise and honor You, O living God.  You surround us with love and guard us as your people.  We are thankful and grateful for this.  Help us to make our hearts good and upright in Your sight.  May Your peace be upon us, O Lord.   In the name of Jesus,   Amen.
